How FitVance handles account, fitness activity and app information.

About FitVance and this policy
FitVance is a fitness challenge service. This policy explains the information used by the Android app, this website and support.
Information you provide
Sign-in is managed through Clerk. If you use Google sign-in, Clerk receives the account details shared by Google, such as your name, email address and profile image. The app also supports email sign-in. We use a linked FitVance account record in Supabase.
Your FitVance profile can include a display name, username, chosen avatar, gender, height and weight where you provide them. We also process messages you send to support.
Activity and challenge information
With permission, the app reads steps from your phone's activity sensor or Health Connect. If you connect Health Connect, the app requests read access to steps and distance and uses totals for activity views and eligible challenge results. Distance and calories shown in the app may also be estimates. The app does not need your GPS location to measure these step challenges.
We store activity totals and challenge participation, verified results, rankings, XP, leagues, Victory Coins and achievements in FitVance's Supabase backend. Leaderboards may show your display name or username, rank and result to other participants.
Camera-based challenges
If you join a camera-based push-up challenge, the app asks for camera permission and uses on-device pose analysis to count reps. Camera frames and video are not recorded or uploaded by this feature. Counted reps and verification results can be sent to the FitVance backend.
Notifications, referrals and service information
If you allow notifications, the app uses Firebase Cloud Messaging and stores a device push token and notification preferences to send service and challenge notices. If you use a referral code, we process that code and the related referral status and rewards.
The app and its service providers may process device details, diagnostic and security logs, and network information such as an IP address to operate, protect and troubleshoot the service.
Website analytics
This website uses first-party analytics to count page and section views and clicks on important links, including the WhatsApp community invite. We use anonymous visitor and session identifiers, page and section names, device category, and campaign or referrer information where available. A WhatsApp invite click does not tell us whether you joined the group. We do not use advertising analytics or record form contents in website analytics.
Visitor and session identifiers use first-party cookies. Website analytics events are kept for up to 180 days. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals disable this tracking.
How information is used
We use this information to run accounts and challenges, count eligible activity, verify results, show rankings and progress, award XP and Victory Coins, send requested notifications, provide support, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations. We do not sell Health Connect data or use it for advertising.
Sharing and service providers
Clerk and Google support sign-in, Supabase hosts FitVance account and challenge data, and Firebase Cloud Messaging delivers push notifications. The camera challenge uses on-device Google ML Kit processing. These providers process information needed for those functions under their own terms. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect users and the service. Other participants can see the leaderboard information described above, but not your raw Health Connect records.
Retention and security
Account and activity information is kept while needed to provide FitVance. The in-app deletion process removes the linked FitVance database account and private records and schedules removal of the associated Clerk sign-in identity. Linked-provider cleanup may finish in the background and is retried if temporarily unavailable. Finalized ranked results may remain without your user ID or profile identity. A minimal hashed identity marker and deletion status may be retained to prevent account restoration and duplicate processing. Some records may also be kept where legal, security or dispute-handling needs require it; the period depends on the record and reason. We use access controls and encrypted network connections to protect information.
Your choices and requests
You can edit your profile and notification choices in the app and change camera, activity and Health Connect permissions in Android settings. You can delete your account from Profile > Account Actions > Delete Account, or request help at support@fitvance.in if you cannot access the app. The full process is explained on our Delete Account page. Contact support to ask about your information or raise a privacy concern.
Age considerations
Challenge or event eligibility, including any age requirements, will be stated in the applicable rules. The informational website is not restricted to adults.
Updates
We may update this policy as FitVance changes. The updated date above will change when we publish a revision. Questions can be sent to support@fitvance.in.
